Where does the article say the military is involved in the use of the Emergencies Act? No mention of military control of people's movements, associations or even curfews. I don't think you know what Martial Law means if you equate this abuse of government power for acts of military control.
Agree to disagree. We have a suspension of civilian rule of law. One definition of martial is governance by some kind of armed forces, another is warlike governance... I think this fits the later. Trudeau thinks they can bring the military in whenever they want and civil liberties are suspended... i don't know what more you want.
Apparently Trudy thinks he could, from BBC:
While Mr Trudeau has said that "everything is on the table", he has maintained that military involvement would be a last resort.
"We are a long way from having to call in the military," he said on Friday.
