I like sandwiches.

It annoys me that protagonists is now the standard way of referring to a character. Why? Because the publishing industry is run by women and hero is masculine. That's my theory.

And using the word, "heroine" confuses stupid people.

The books churned out the last few years appeal to the lowest common denominator. Not to mention 60 percent of published authors seem to be women who are writing for high school students under the guise of adult fiction
