20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. 21 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! - Psalms 107:20-21 (KJV)

This is another scripture that shows that God heals our bodies. Most churches do not teach healing as part of Christ’s atonement, but it is a very important part of what Jesus came to do for us. In the Old Testament, in prophecy about Jesus, it said that He heals us (Isaiah 53:5), and in the New Testament that He has already healed us (1 Peter 2:24). Also Matthew wrote about the Isaiah prophecy and showed that it included our physical healing (Matthew 8:17). Most Christians pray to God for their healing, but He has already given it to us, and we must learn how to just get it out of the spiritual world into our physical bodies, not ask God for something we already have been given. Our deliverance from our destruction includes sickness and disease, as well as forgiveness of our sins. Jesus commanded us to do the works that He did (John 14:12), and we must obey His commands if we want our salvation (Hebrews 5:9).

We should praise the Lord at all times, and in all things (Psalms 100:4). Being thankful and giving praise to the Lord should be what most all our prayers are about as it gives pleasure to God to have His children give Him praise and worship. One of the signs of the end times is a lack of being thankful (2 Timothy 3:1-2), and this world seems to be getting to that point. How can we remember what all Jesus has done for us, and not give God our praise? Next to love, being thankful and giving praise to the Lord, should be the most important thing we do, and if you let Christ live through you, it will come easily because God is love (1 John 4:8). Thank you Lord for loving us so very much and giving us so much!
