They put a fire-protective blanket over some of the Giant Sequoias that were threatened by wildfires a few days ago

Giant Sequoias reproduce through wildfires, their cones being very dense and only release their seeds in extreme heat when the underbrush has been cleared by fire to let the sunlight in
