Many years ago I had to make a driving trip that took ~15-ish hours stopping only for fuel, food and a bathroom. If I had to wait 1-3 hours for a charge that would have easily become a 30+ hour trip even with fast-chargers. Fuck That.
Why do you take your personal vehicle on a road trip when the price of a rental is less than the wear and tear on your own car? Depending on the car, a 1400-mile trip could put about $280 $350 worth of wear and tear on your car. Fuck that.

You're assuming I took my own vehicle.
I saw several people charging their EVs. Even at the fast charging stations I saw it would take about 3 hrs to get a full charge.
That's pure, unadulterated bullshit.
I cannot even fathom adding 3-6 hrs each time I had to stop and charge to my already long trip due to having an EV.
It's probably your ignorance of how it works that's preventing you from fathoming it.
I'm not butt hurt since I'm still paying about 3 cents per mile for my fuel in a car that cost me less than $20,000. I'm just pointing out that what you posted is wrong and speculated about why you can't imagine driving an EV.
