I don't see the connection. Trying to use a vehicle for something it wasn't designed for is an inconvenience, for sure. Like if I drive a dump truck to work it's hard to find parking, or if I try to drive an e-bike across Montana it probably won't go well. That's not an argument against the utility of dump trucks and e-bikes. If you need to drive more than 250 miles without stopping for 20 minutes to refuel, an electric car is not the car for that trip.
