I never respond on this site. But I'll make an exception, because it's you. I hardly care if you believe me. Conspiracy theory is my thing. My friends don't believe anything I say until it happens. Coral is not as dependent on plankton as say, whales. You can grow coral at home, if you have your shit together. Corals can live deep, where there is not much sun. The key to growing coral is clean water, reverse osmosis is preferred. With additional with tank that has a biosphere containing plants and seaweed that will eat things like nitrogen that will kill your live rock, coral, sea anemone, or what have you. Like I said, take it or leave it. But when you can see e/i segments about it on pbs kids shows, it's kind of a no brainer. This was post on this site not long ago maybe you didn't watch it.
