So uh... What about that report that the 3 gorges dam that China built was going to retain so much water that it would slow the spin of the earth. Anyone else remember reading that a few years ago?

IIRC it was in the vicinity of 120mS/year at the peak rate of change. I was keeping up with it over the past few years but haven't looked at it in a long while. My memory could be wrong, might have been 0.120mS/year - about what you said. Regardless, a very insignificant number that doesn't cause tsunamis and earthquakes ... so I lost interest and stopped paying attention.
