Also, when people talk about deforestation, they typically ignore the fact that most logging companies replant trees. Why? Because they don't want to lose their business. No trees, no business.

In the United States, which contains 8 percent of the world's forests, there are more trees than there were 100 years ago.

You do know that those stationary things with leaves also exist outside the US? Also, "ever before" does not refer to just the last 100 years.
