Sure, I don’t think humans have much to do with it based on a few things, the first is the amount of energy the planet gets from the sun has varied over time, second the idea to me that human beings over such a short period could have such a large impact on a system as large and complex as the environment too me seems implausible. I honestly don’t believe anyone has a definite yes or no but I lean towards the planet is doing what it does and we are more or less just along for the ride.

Right, so this is almost the first thing anyone would think of, and of course it's . Damn smart people have written plenty of scientific articles about it. Have you read a basic summary of those articles? Have you understood the articles themselves?

second the idea to me that human beings over such a short period could have such a large impact on a system as large and complex as the environment too me seems implausible.

Again, so given your expertise in the face of a whole scientific profession, you're just going to go with a gut-shot and say it "seems implausible". Honestly, do you take yourself seriously?

I do take myself seriously, and honestly I don’t advocate either way on the issue, it’s not my issue, humanity has a lot of issues and one man cannot tackle them all. I have seen some data questioning the validity of the 97% agree figure and some break downs of the studies that show some underhanded things, but I don’t spend my time posting it, my issue is speech, your issue is climate change we all choose our battles. I welcome you to fight yours here just like I’m fighting mine here. I’ve no issue with what you believe non what so ever, I don’t agree but I welcome you to convince me otherwise over time with facts. I’m not saying I’ll change my mind but I’m not saying I won’t if I see something convincing enough and it stands up to research. I’m not above changing my opinions I have many times on many issues when new data becomes available. So yes I take myself seriously, I don’t put together lengthy arguments on climate science as it’s not my chosen battle, but I welcome you to do so. I might even from time to time ask you a question, and rather than viewing it as an attack when it comes from me it’s just a genuine question.

Most of that is sensible. However, if you hold an opinion you should be able to defend it, and I don't think you're doing well in that regard. Better to declare yourself agnostic on the issue pending further investigation. There are many things I haven't investigated enough, and wouldn't feel justified in taking sides on. You know I'm with you regarding free speech.
