Why do we believe in the wider theory of gravitational force, or quantum mechanics, or relativistic time dilation? Why do we believe the Earth is not flat? Because there is an entire profession of experts out there who tell us it is so, and anyone with sufficient intelligence can independently consider and verify the claims of those experts. How about you tell me exactly why you don't believe humans have much to do with it?
