Yay for absolutism

[–] 2 pts

You can't call yourself an environmentalist if you used anything made of plastic

You can't call yourself an environmentalist if you use water to clean yourself

You can't call yourself an environmentalist if you walk on a sidewalk (cement production process contributes much of the co2!)

You can't call yourself an environmentalist if you waste energy watching documentaries

lol got any more ideas?

You can't be an environmentalist if you post to the internet. It's absolutely unnecessary and wastes valuable energy.

One could argue that you're causing a net benefit by advocating environmentalism online

Everybody can argue anything. That's why we shitpost and every website with a comments session is filled with pages and pages of opinions and flamewars. The internet made arguing become entertainment. But for clarification, I was just being an ass for the fun of it. I don't want you or anyone to stop posting, your pov is always welcome.

The thing is eating meat is unnecessary (for anyone with access to a grocery store).

How can an environmentalist claim to be one if they contribute to animal agriculture? Animal ag is responsible for 18 percent of greenhouse gas emissions, more than the combined exhaust from all transportation.

They are contributing to the worst thing for the environment when they don't need to.

[–] 1 pt

Ok so what if they eat meat not sourced via animal agriculture? That should be fine then, right?

[–] 0 pt

Environmentally, yeah that's fine. I agree. Nice loophole

Thanks for bringing up this stupid argument again.

"You can't call yourself an environmentalist while continuing to breathe out CO2 repeatedly..."

Anyone can work towards a better environment without calling themselves an 'environmentalist' and without floating about naked without breathing or interacting with the modern world.

You can't be an environmentalist if you use fossil fuels.

You can't be an environmentalist is you don't grow your own food with no pesticides or fertilizers.

You can't be an environmentalist if don't live in a hole in the ground. Must be a hole in a toxic waste site so you don't kill worms or bugs.

It's about reducing one's footprint as much as possible and practicable.

[–] [deleted] 2 pts

You can't call yourself a human if you aren't white.

[–] 2 pts

What about Asians?

[–] [deleted] 3 pts

Nope. We are dealing in absolutes. They are not my people so not human.

[–] 1 pt

You can't call yourself an environmentalist if you aren't a proponent of genocide. All those niggers and pajeets are a population bomb that will cause horrific environmental damage, and you can tell from the state of their home countries that they won't stop breeding even when they have to drink raw sewage with dead bodies floating in it.

[–] 1 pt

Are you and the same person?

[–] 2 pts

We just share a logical view of the world.

Only accounts I have outside of this are and . Neither used if I have this

[–] 1 pt

I am going to have to disagree on this one, being vegan is not a complete solution to all the environmental problems facing the world. So by this logic unless you are a perfect environmentalist with a zero carbon foot print you are not an environmentalist.

[–] 0 pt

My argument is that if you are needlessly contributing to one of the most (if not the most) environmentally destructive industries, you are not an environmentalist.

[–] 1 pt

That is an absolutist argument. I could make exactly the same argument about almost any environmentalist causes, such as the mass extinction event we seem to be right around the corner from, we lose tons of species every year if you are not trying to conserve animals habitats you are not an environmentalist which modern farming is destroying. I get what you are trying to say but I just think you need to tweak the statement just a bit to make it more accurate.
