it's hard to control site users,
It's not poal's goal.
You do wish to influence the behavior of site users in order to promote freedom of speech and make the website run effectively, discouraging vote manipulation is part of that, and of course I'd support sensible measures.
We have spent a great deal of time attempting to deal with vote manipulation in the many forms people have come up with. Its a never ending battle it would seem.
You do wish to influence the behavior of site users
We do not, and this is where you're wrong.
Besides from banning spammers (everything is documented in the site and sub logs), fixing bug and code, adding new features, being an admin doesn't make me any different from other users.
When and I post outside admin's related subs ( - - - ...), we are just regular users.
100% agree, we wanted a place for free speech just like everyone else who comes here. So outside of our administrative duties I think we both prefer to be treaded just like everyone else.
