Again, I think you made a big mistake making him an admin - you should have gone solo.
You see there is a story behind that. To start I am only one man. I am also a man with a family and a job. I'm not some superman that can be around 24 hours a day, so after I had started poal and AOU had been helping out quite a lot(This was before I made him an admin at all) The site went down for 5 hours because I had gone to bed as it was 3 in the morning and I was awoken to my phone blowing up at 8, the site was down. So I immediately jumped out of bed and ran to my office and brought the site back up. At which point I decided I have to get some official help, after what I had seen on voat and now my own experiences told me I have to have help. So I decided I would make the person who had helped the most(with out ever asking for anything mind you) an admin(limited admin not access to the back end). So I offered the job to and he gladly accepted. So after a month or so of him being a site admin and many many discussions of us getting to know each other I decided to give him full access to the backend, I still maintain sole control of the DNS. He has since done nothing but prove to be an avid supporter of the cause and had many opportunities he could have censored or really done most anything he wanted yet here he is helping out and not censoring anyone despite people questioning his integrity quite a bit actually.
So the reason I tell you that story is in hopes you will believe despite his personal opinions he supports free speech 100% and will always let you say anything you want, even if he disagrees.
Well, ok. I accept it's impractical to run the site alone, especially if it grows. From my point of view I wish the admin job had gone to someone with character and intellectual integrity. I know your official position is that he's a good guy... good luck with that!
I'm still hoping for a censorship-free site like this where opposing ideologies can truly interact. Both Phuks and Poal don't give me a lot of hope lately.
Well I mean isn't what you and him so frequently do opposing ideas interacting? Or at least the start of it? I think most people in the world seem to have forgotten that just because we disagree doesn't mean we have to hate each other. So how do we figure that out again? Well I would say a good step in that direction is having a place like this. I'm happy that we have opposing views at all no one grows in an echo chamber.
