The first thing is for people to accept what scientists have been saying for the last three decades, and understand what we are doing to the planet.

The solution is hugely complicated by our corrupt systems of governance, and the tragedy of the commons, and of course I don't have a plan laid for you right now. If we weren't ruled by corporations whose singular objective is profit, things would be a lot simpler... encourage efficient public transport in most places (not electric cars) get rid of fossil fuel power generation as soon as possible by outlawing or taxing it into oblivion (to accurately reflect costs to society) and leave the market to sort out how we power and feed ourselves with cleaner technologies.

Sure we'll adapt or go extinct, but global warming is a problem entirely of our making. If we could manage our pollution, we would likely face a much much slower climatic change in thousands of years time which would be no test at all.

Corrupt systems of governance are why so many people are brainwashed into believing climate change is a lie, and the reason why the simple actions we could take to avoid it are so difficult to implement. At a deeper level perhaps those systems of governance are dominant because of the failings of human nature.

Personally I believe technology is bad, because people are fundamentally not intelligent enough to manage the power it brings, and use it for good rather than evil, but that's another conversation.

Eugenics is a solution? Or how about we stop encouraging single women to breed as that probably produces less educated people. I’m all for controlling our climate for as long as possible but you cannot have it both ways. If you want to control climate you also want to control population and you also have to factor for behavior, you need responsible people who will do their part. So that means no more assistance to single mothers and no more paying for welfare in general as it encourages people to have more children. Are you sure you’ve thought this idea of controlling the climate through? I think it has farther reaching consequences than you might think. Not to mention, solving corrupt government and business bring back fear of god, more people tend to behave better if they believe a all powerful being will punish them if they are immoral. The end goal you want cannot be achieved unless we have strong families that will do the work.

Hey, I have no problem with population control - difficult issue but it needs to be dealt with. Perhaps needing to be scared into doing good things by some imaginary bogeyman in the sky (that people donate to) is a failure of human nature... your eugenics program might be able to breed that out.
