On multistory hotel contruction, some workers of a common persuasion shit in bathtubs, and it stinks for weeks before water is even turned on and they can be cleaned out. Simply too lazy to walk down the stairs.

Pay close attention to whether the bathroom door starts to stick. I've had to shore up the floor in a few houses where people have added DIY tile jobs that caused the floor to begin to sink due to the extra weight. The door tends to be the first warning sign.
