Wow that is some serious knowledge and skill that went into doing this. Remind me to message you if I ever buy another boat.
Ok so recently I got to work at the lake let's check it out....
First this is what we are working with>>> http://picinfinity.co/d/6a9f1545-533a-4ca3-b30a-7e2511d63c70.jpg
This boat house is leaning BAD. The lake wall failed and the bank fell off pushing the boat house over. The homeowner attached straps and cable to the structure and tied them back to some trees to keep it from falling all the way down.
How out of level is it? Let's check>>> http://picinfinity.co/d/e3545698-16d6-46dc-8ffc-d5044d4705c6.jpg Holy shit!
To fix this we are using this awesome air hammer(the yellow thing) working off the barge>>> http://picinfinity.co/d/7252bd45-7143-4de0-b04a-072c173d398b.jpg
Driving new posts>>> http://picinfinity.co/d/2be77786-69cd-46ac-b04e-6bb37e40f136.jpg
Then we brace around the existing post, cut it free and move it over to sit on top of the new post>>> http://picinfinity.co/d/c2cddb43-a52f-49c4-a2de-722bcd1d01e5.jpg
We repeat until that side is finished and then move on to the difficult side>>> http://picinfinity.co/d/6147e87e-535b-4c90-9e1f-36444fb948f2.jpg
On the other side of the boat house we replace the lake wall and this gives us something for the posts to sit on
Once again we use the air hammer to drive posts for the wall>>> http://picinfinity.co/d/3fdbc4cf-51ef-4704-9ac4-6192228dbbd1.jpg
We weren't able to use the barge to pick up the hammer so we had to pick it up to move it. It weighs about 350 pounds.
Next we drive tunge and groove 2×10s to make the wall>>> http://picinfinity.co/d/707b59dd-8819-451a-92ff-a42bd24eb1c6.jpg
Progress>> http://picinfinity.co/d/fdbd4ce7-8c7b-44a7-a25e-aad1c2ae728b.jpg
For this step we used a combination of sledge hammers and the air hammer with a special attachment.
As we get the 2×10s in we cap the wall and brace things so we can cut posts and slide them over onto the wall>>> http://picinfinity.co/d/38f867b6-d82b-4aee-93a6-45f0586def02.jpg
Progress>>> http://picinfinity.co/d/3262a430-dc55-4590-aad6-f171138543c5.jpg
After all that it's time to put drain cloth on the back of the wall to keep the dirt from washing through >>> http://picinfinity.co/d/1e594b99-6078-4c3a-b79e-db5445999a78.jpg
Nice and straight posts now>> http://picinfinity.co/d/64d75428-0ac8-4b93-9c0f-dfc18814f1c9.jpg
Now we back fill the wall >>> http://picinfinity.co/d/4c81d71f-6a4b-48de-a92e-6b574052d1e5.jpg
And tie the wall back to 'deadmen' using cable and clamps>>> http://picinfinity.co/d/4a8bbfd6-ffe9-4592-9180-ee71ebd75f48.jpg
