Keep it out
Keep it out
Hard to do with dwellings, any layers where air can hide acts as insulation. Your best bet is to exploit natural ventilation. Remember that hot air is less dense and as a result has lower pressure. Cooler air is denser and has higher pressure and will naturally move towards warmer less dense air. This is the theory behind teepees, the central opening allows heat to escape, which pulls in outside air and is cooled by the shade inside. This acts as a reservoir for air leaving through the chimney.
Likewise if your ventilation outlet is heated by the sun it will lower the pressure in said outlet and the cooler air will want to move in and replace it, creating natural ventilation.
