There is no evidence to date that BN.1 or any of the new subvariants are more likely to cause hospitalization or death.
This is just another strain that evades the outdated antibodies from the mRNA drug products. This is not the break through strain that Geert Vanden Bossche is warning us about. I see no immediate danger here.
The danger with this strain is that it will further accelerate the endless transmission among the vaccinated. The more spreading and mutation, the more likely we will get a deadly strain—deadly to the vaccinated.
