At base is the reality that most human beings never think for themselves. They have no original thoughts. They are just here, alive and processing in a simplistic way the data that is fed into them. When society at large appears to be saying one thing very loudly and for a very long time, they believe it, because they are unable to question it in a rational manner.

The Covid narrative was amplified and sustained through the corporate media, which gave it the illusion of a majority opinion. It was not. Those who control our media were very careful to screen out all the dissenting voices, the majority voices. In this way, the vocal minority is mistaken for the majority, and herd instinct coupled with an inability to think independently causes the mass of people to follow.

Most people are cognitive misers, I agree, and original thoughts are hard to come by (but I try anyway, lol). That aside, the Covid propaganda filled our lives like a new religion and most people it seems bought into the dogma; I know this because of the sea of masks I saw every day on all their faces, regardless of the evidence that a cloth face cover is unhealthy and does not protect against corona viruses. Mercola’s article explained the bad behavior of the aggressive people I encountered in my daily life as I lived without wearing a mask. Additionally, and what should have been mentioned first, the compliance with the lockdowns was startling in it’s completeness and utterly disheartening. Not only that, but the suspension of the Constitution when lockdowns began was very UnAmerican but it happened. My own brother died after having everything he valued taken from him when the lockdown first occurred. There are people rotting in jail with their Constitutional rights being trampled upon by the government. This does not look like the America I knew as a child but more like the Venezuela I saw after Chavez took control. (Back to your comment.)

At first glance, it looked to me as though you were disagreeing with Desmet’s theory of mass formation psychosis but, when I thought more about it, I realized you were agreeing. By the way, look up “The Trusted News Initiative” to see the “conspiracy” regarding the media’s oppression of dissenting voices and pushing of Covid propaganda. The media all signed on to the contract. The public at large didn’t stand a chance. (I’m still disappointed with Americans in general and will have to work that out within myself.)
