We tried to tell you. You called us "conspiracy theorists" or "selfish".
We were just ahead of the curve.
It's a lot easier to blame other, wiser/smarter people for your problems than to admit "I've been duped". Most people would literally rather die a horrible death than admit to the entire world "I HAVE BEEN TRICKED, BADLY, I HAVE BEEN MADE A FOOL OF!" Takes a real man to do that. I had my moment for that with Trump- thought he was "our guy" early on, swept up by the emotions of finally feeling like a "normal guy" would be President. Then, after a year or so of watching him not represent White interests at all, I became suspicious.
By the end of his term, I had fully admitted: I was tricked into voting for a "release valve" candidate. I am a fool for falling for it. Won't happen again...
