No one had a gun put to their head. No one was forced. Most were presented with options. Options of just how far must you step out of your comfort zone. Options of just how much discomfort would you accept in trade for your life.
Some of us took a stand. Took the gamble. And, most importantly, did not take the jab. Your life is what you value it to be. No more.
Yep, I didn't take it. But luckily for me my boss was very understanding, and the type of work I do allowed me to work exclusively from home for extended periods of time. Living in Victoria, my boss faced large fines (it was more than $10000 for a company, think it was over $100000) if an unjabbed worker was found on the premises by Dan's Cheka. My missus ended up taking the Novavax one. I told her not to, but she did anyway because it was becoming a significant problem at her work. I think that if she told them to go fuck themselves, she'd either be fine now, or be working as a consultant for her current work, with no jab mandate and getting paid more. They are still trying to get workers to have boosters even now, and technically she is not allowed in the office as she is not "up to date". They won't let people take the Novavax as a booster, it has to be Pfizer/Moderna. So far she's just ignoring them, her manager is ignoring that she's ignoring the mandate and no one cares. It's not about health anyway, its about control. She has a sword of Damocles hanging over her job, but we don't NEED it to keep going (one of the benefits of having little to no debt and living within our means).
Some people were put in impossible positions, have a mortgage and a young family and your job forces you to take the jab or you're fired. What would you do? Granted, if people knew now what they didn't know then about the safety profile, many more would not have taken it. I have sympathy for these people (of whom I know many, some coping with severe adverse reactions). Those who took it for frivolous reasons, to play sport, or go on holidays or get into clubs....they can live with their stupid fucking decisions, I have no sympathy for them, and the ones who enthusiastically embraced it and shamed those of us who were rightly cautious enough to not do so... they can die in a fucking fire for all I care. Fuck them.
The culpability lies on the ones pushing it though, the ones standing in front of the cameras and proclaiming the jab as "Safe and Effective", the ones who mandated it and the ones who wrote the guidelines and administrative procedures that set forth the carrying out of this. Those people must hang. The ones who unthinkingly carried out those orders must also be punished, but we probably don't need to hang them all (otherwise there would be only a hand full of doctors left in Australia). People MUST be held to account, they still cling to their "safe and effective" line in the beuracuracy, it won't be until the ring leaders of this are twitching on the end of a rope that the snivellling fuckers understand.
Yeah totally, Everyone had a choice to make, some the choice was more difficult than others however You know what is an impossible position ??, paying a mortgage and bringing up a family when you died from a rare but serious adverse vaxx event.
Similar to those unfortunate residents of East Palestine that simply moved back into their homes a couple of days after the 'controlled burn off' bc 'it's my home' or 'i have no where else to go'.
It's one thing to make a fully informed decision based on all available knowledge, past data with critical thought, entirely something else again if one fails a simple logic test.
I doubt "the ones" responsible will ever be held accountable because there is no "one". So many layers of complicit cowards compelled by nebulous shadows of parties with gains to be had. A perfect storm allowed to exist by a nation that has decayed into apathetic sheep incapable of critical thought.
I am fortunate. Certainly not rich but sitting on land with some (but manageable) debt. Able to take a stand and roll the dice and tell them to go fuck themselves.
I don't want vindication but I am afraid there is a demographic that cannot be turned around and saved. It will be what it is. And maybe I'll be wrong about it all. Would be nice.
