Crypto markets are still nascent so they're always changing, but the articles are contradictory without a doubt. One says nobody is coming to save crypto, the other says the bank of England just might come save it.
Personally, I follow market cycles and ignore most of the confusing, misleading mumbo jumbo. Whatever comes in between, adjustments can be made
What I think, believe, is that, the "western banking cartel" isn't going to let some sort of robin hood outsider system to exist and rob them of their monopoly on what we call money. People who think that crypto is just going to get away with it are delusional in my opinion, and I'm not accusing you of being delusional here, to be clear
I mean, we're talking about people willing to literally kill dozens of millions through wars among other things, just to preserve their banking monopoly, it's whatever it takes policy when it comes to it
So, the situation you have with crypto today, the relative freedom toward traditional private and public institutions that you can enjoy with it, isn't here to stay. It's like the internet of old, the "wild cyber west" utopia, it's gone, corporations are all over the place and they're more and more running the entire show behind the scene (see dailystormer), and the trend isn't going to reverse
There's a bias among crypto aficionados, pretty much similar to the one you can find among PMs cheerleaders; it's all fun and game until the gov says you have to hand all your gold before the end of the year for instance. And the good old boating accident excuse isn't going to cut it
I mean, people have to declare their crytpo gains fiscally speaking already. Then you pay taxes on it and next thing you know what used to be the "revolution" is rendered as yet another cog in the "system"
That's what I think, it's only a matter of time before the so called revolution gets recycled by the system
That's all fine.
But markets still move in relatively predictable cycles and I play off them.
Yeah whatever floats your boat, I mean I'm not an anti crypto and at the same time I'm not a crypto fan
Crypto is here it's a fact, and it's not going away anytime soon, so either you take advantage of it or you don't, that's all
Now when you look at the internet for instance, that tool that was supposed to bring freedom for the masses when it started to go mainstream, is increasingly turning into a tool of surveillance, state propaganda, and "enslavement" of the masses, that's the irony, it's yet another "revolution" becoming an integral part, a cog, of the "system"
Sure you still have pockets of resistance but you get the idea, it's sliding in the wrong direction we can see it everyday. Long gone are the days when states and politicians were barely aware that internet existed, now they're all over it or at least they try
Same thing will happen with crypto, same thing happens in any given sector, once it reaches past a certain size, the big players step in and takeover, everything changes, regulations appears left and right and small players get side lined
Crypto will be victim of its success ultimately I think, pretty much like internet
