Just ordered online my new light for my closet. I live in an old house and the closet has no light and the room had one outlet so I am going to improvise. I have been using a small lamp with an extension cord but it's underfoot and almost trips me when I'm trying to get something off a shelf. I then just had an idea. I ordered a couple of 5 ft led light strips for a tv back but the white ones that are usb powered. I have a plugin 6 port usb power block and I have a splitter I used with switches I was using for my old usb drives. I'll plug a 10ft usb into the power block then run that to the spitter I'll mount to the back wall of the closet then attach one 5ft usb strip to one side of shelves and another to the other side running vertically. I now have a $20 no batteries lighting system with no real wiring or high cost of other systems and it can be just detached and moved if I want light in another area. It's the cheap nerd diy no skills needed home fix it trick for any area that needs lighting. BTW I don't give a fuck what people think that see it and if someone doesn't like my setup when I run it they can go and fuck themselves for all I care.

It's not blue just white only no rgb switching and I realize white is 1/3 red green blue but it's balanced if it says white. The ones you have to worry about are the led home lights that have a blue tint to them it's the soft light I believe and they are likely hurting people eyes like the old flourescent tubes that I worked almost 10 years night shift and the flicker like fuck if you pay attention and that would drive me nuts like a mild strobe light. I miss the old incandescent of my childhood, you couldn't even stare at one without having to look away from the intensity and pure white light they put out.
