Right? 520m is roughly 1700 feet, or damn near 1/3 of a mile.

That's almost as tall as the tallest building in the US: One World Trade Center building clocking in at 1776 feet.

That's higher than the second tallest building in the US: Central Park Tower at 1550 feet.

Did you read up on the Lituya Bay tsunami? Monster wave caused by a glacier falling into the ocean.
