The funny part about Molly Ringwald, and why I think John Hughes was an upstanding dude, is because her and Ally became HUGE man hating feminists. And even with that, they have never once accused John of sketchy behavior. The closest is that Molly said John once called her his muse, but that makes perfect sense given his films were based around teenage storylines.
