If we're gonna talk veganism as a lack of all animal products, it can't be done by any poor nation. Even taking a country like India which has strict laws against meat, even the most vegetarian of diet still includes yogurt. The protein from animal sources is simply can't be duplicated from an all plant diet unless you have a broad spectrum to draw from
