Dutch people need to turn around their national education to instill pride and identity as a nation. I took tours in Amsterdam and the guides were seemingly anti-Dutch. They went out of their way to highlight how they were enriched by diversity. They (again the tour guides) seemed apologetic and dismissive of their own culture and whiteness. Maybe that is the crap they need to spew to be certified tour guides. They pointed out these safety hazards in the sidewalk called stumbling stones. They are markers of basically a jew lived here or there etc. and was a victim of nazis. The Dutch people are meant to trip on them to remind them of the jew and forever feel guilty and unworthy of their own nation. It's very sad and the nation-hating rhetoric is the worst part of any tour there.

I've been there as well. I didn't know about the stones. That is some grade A bullshit. I would not allow that to fly in my part of the world.

Also, any time I would 'trip' on one all I would think is "FUCKING JEWS".

It is fucked up. Look up 'stumbling stone' or stolperstein to see a picture. It began in the 1990s. Oh yeah, and the tour guide was saying that school kids would take it as a project to sponsor one and install it.
