Hahaha, you have it backwards. FE is entirely based on what other FE believers say it is. The models, mathematics and physics of FE are always extremely convoluted and incomplete. There is no elegance to the described mechanisms for simple things like the movement of the sun, moon and stars. I have never seen any practical experiment proposed by an FE believer that can be tested that doesn't have some fatal flaw to it yet the FE believer will argue the flaw exists on the other side. No FE believer can be convinced of the reality of the globe Earth because they are so against the idea of being aligned with NASA or the government that they will only believe the opposite of what they say.

You’re going to respond, something about how it makes other conspiracy theories look crazy by association. Which is just because you don’t believe it. If it’s not wrong, it’s not crazy. Also you can’t provide any evidence of it being a “trick” or anything else.
The actual question of “why” is interesting, of course there are many possible answers most of which are speculative. Obviously if you were a ruling power set on controlling every aspect of a population’s life, and not wanting them to have any connection to their creator, you might want to make them believe lies about where they live.
Again, it doesn’t really matter. You don’t have to know the motive to know you’re looking at a crime scene. All the evidence bears out a flat and motionless plane instead of a spinning globe in space, and there are proven lies involved in promoting the latter which call it entirely into question.
I could give you 200 proofs that the earth is a motionless plane and you can’t provide 1 proof that it’s a ball. Any “evidence” or observable phenomenon you could point to either relies on an unknowable assertion (the diameter of Venus for example) or could also “work” on a flat earth as well as a globe. I’m still waiting for proof.
Again, I’ll gladly debate this in a thread so people can judge for themselves.
