And for bonus points, what generates the magnetic field/poles on flat Earth in the first place if there is no magnetic core inside a globe Earth.

Sure, as soon as you post your video showing how the poles of a ring magnet can reverse.

  1. How do you know that the poles reverse? Not simply linking to a mainstream science article, which I could easily do myself, how are you confident that they reverse? I’m not saying they don’t, I just want to understand what kind of argument you’re making — empirical, or appeal to authority?

  2. Many flat earth models including that of Mark Sargent maintain that the “earth” is an enclosed, artificial environment. That is, it was constructed by someone or something and is similar to a giant climate controlled terrarium. Electromagnets can be reversed with the flip of a switch. If the earth is a giant machine, so could its polarity be reversed. I don’t claim to know this is the case, but it is an intriguing theory.

  1. The Mid-Atlantic ridge contains rocks formed by vulcanism that contain magnetic striations caused by polar shifting/reversing. Other geologic rock formation around the globe (heh!) also have these same magnetic striations. It's recorded in the very rocks.

  2. I still don't understand how there can be more than one flat Earth model and still be taken as "fact". If all you have is models, then you have the same level of fact as Dr. Fauci does for credibility. And if the Earth is a giant machine, it's not flat now is it? It would rely on non-flat mechanisms that protrude above and below the Earth and require both a source of power and maintenance to keep it working. Who built it and maintains it? Where do those creators and maintainers live themselves? Why has the machine never broken down? So many questions arise from this one claim.

Obviously it’s not “flat,” it’s a I don’t like the moniker “flat earth” because it emphasizes a straw man which is a disc floating in space, which we don’t believe in.

When I think about the world I don’t think about it as “flat.” Obviously it is contoured; there are mountains and valleys. “Flat earth theory” to me is more about the non-existence of outer space as we are taught it, the motionlessness of where we live, and the quality of it being enclosed.

How are rock striations known to be caused by shifting magnetic fields? Again, just playing devil’s advocate. Even by citing that as a proof you are appealing to authority, because you can’t recreate that effect on a rock in your backyard. Has it even been done in a lab I wonder? It’s more circular logic: the magnetic field reverses because there are marks in rocks which are caused by the magnetic fields reversing because the magnetic fields reverse because there are marks in the rocks….
