Yes space isn’t really cold and dark, it is just largely empty. So only light and heat directly from their source can be perceived.

Appreciate the effort but the explanations aren't sufficient in my opinion.
I've seen the links and videos where you get your info, if interested I might look further.
These people actually believe they know the temp of the core of the sun etc. and state it as fact lol.
At earth orbit distance while in the sun the temperature is about 248 degrees F. In the earth’s shadow is around -148 F
