The Earth isn't spinning at 1000 MPH. It spins at 1 revolution per day (360 degrees per 24 hours). If you were on a merry go round that spun at one revolution per day, would you feel it? The hour hand of an analog clock spins at two revolutions per day, twice as fast as the Earth. Is it whipping by at 1000 MPH? Angular velocity and linear velocity are not the same thing. When you fly in a jet airliner moving at 600 MPH, do you feel like you are moving at 600 MPH? Without acceleration or deceleration happening, you can't feel the velocity you are moving at. Our bodies, fortunately, don't have sense cells/structures that sense velocity (only acceleration). Think about the reason why.

Okay, I'll think about it. Are you some kind of physicist or something?

My kid has a masters in engineering.

I'm an EE turned CS. I am well versed in most sciences and engineering disciplines because I enjoy those fields. I'm a generalist who tries to understand as much as I can about everything. It helps me in many ways so I have kept at it my whole life.

Why did you decide to turn CS?

But you're analytical. I'm creative, I was a graphic designer and am a copywriter and musician (not a great one).

Like I told my son, you're going to be less relatable than somebody who grabs a guitar at a party and wows everyone.

But who cares.
