The Earth does not spin at 1000 MPH, according to Flat Earth. But the sun and moon still move across the sky. FE also says the sun and moon are inside the dome of the firmament where they move throughout the day and night. It is even said that the moon is further adding to proof that it is within the dome of the firmament. FE enthusiasts use this as proof that the Earth is flat and stationary and space is fake and gay. Okay.

So if the sun and moon are within the dome of the firmament and in the Earth's atmosphere and move around the flat Earth throughout the day, that means the sun is moving 1000 MPH and the moon is moving 2288 MPH- inside the Earth's atmosphere. How is that possible, hmm? Bodies moving faster than the speed of sound in the Earth's atmosphere would be creating continuous sonic booms. Where is all the deafening noise then?

The universe is expanding at "u" mph. The galaxies are moving on that expanding bubble at "b" mph. The milky way is spinning at "x" mph (40,000 mph). The earth is orbiting the sun at "y" mph (90 miles per second). It is also rotating at "z" mph (900 mph).

The motion of u+b+x+y+z can make you sick as a dog. Is it any wonder I was puking my guts out the other night?

the boom is a continuous effect that occurs while the object is travelling at supersonic speeds. But it affects only observers that are positioned at a point that intersects a region in the shape of a geometrical cone behind the object. As the object moves, this conical region also moves behind it and when the cone passes over the observer, they will briefly experience the "boom".

That said. Could it be possible that the moon and sun travel at the outer edges of the dome so that no one is ever in a position that intersects with the "geometrical cone"?

Thats not how it works. otherwise all planes would need to do is float up and hang out. And I've flown planes and been up to alt to see the curvature of the earth.

I was just throwin' shit. But it seems odd to me that coast-to-coast air travel takes pretty much the same time either way.

It's longer going west due to the east bound jet stream.

The fact is we are born moving, and everything is always moving . Speed is a relative to the constant each rotation, not as a reference to a point in space. This is why flight speed is different from ground speed too.

I ran into Gene Kranz a couple weeks ago. True story, I've run into him a few times, but this time I videoed him. For my kids.

We got into some pretty heavy stuff.

For example...

Gene: Where the heck is the blackening seasoning?

Me: For what kind of fish, Tilapia?

Gene: No, salmon.

Me: Cool. Should be right here in this section somewhere.

Gene: Well, crap.

Me: Gene, can I film you?

Gene: Sure, go ahead.

Gene Kranz lives on Oak Drive in Dickinson, TX.

I also am family with the guy, Duane, who hires the astronauts (he's part time now, but was there 40 years).

He said he hired Judy Resnick cause she called him every day. Through him I met a lot of NASA people.
