I remember this movie being painfully mid, until that one scene where it was revealed how the ship itself came to be, it was kinda neat but wasn't enough to carry the entire film. Among those semi-obscure horror flicks I'd recommend checking out Thirteen Ghosts (the remake), it's also mid but it's got style, and the character design for ghosts is exceptional.
