Dave Allen didn't ring a bell for me so i just checked his wiki. It looks like he didn't do very much on this side of the pond which explains why I can't remember him. One of our 4 channels, probably PBS (which didn't always tune in well) carried the Benny Hill shows on the weekends IIRC. Loved the humor and pretty girls. I think it was my dad's favorite comedy show.

Yeah we watched him on pbs. My dad would guffaw and had such a wicked sense of humor, he loved British comedy.
