Isn't Cuyahoga Valley one of those national parks where there's always too many people to truly enjoy nature?

I'm not sure. The only reason I go up that way is for the Cuyahoga Falls Amateur Radio Club hamfest.

The tow path trail can get crowded in the summer especially weekends, but over all it is worth a visit. There are some nice marsh areas that have absolutely huge snapping turtles. Their is a fair amount of diversity in birds, including bald eagles, kingfishers, and wood ducks. Beavers, minks, and otters can be spotted along the rivers and marsh. During the summer there are plenty of cardio bunnies jogging and biking, these creatures can be interacted with at Peninsula where there are shops and restaurants.

It certainty isn't backwoods, but it isn't anymore crowded than I'd expect for a park inside a major metro area.
