TLDR; Its made of pork shoulder. What fucking moron thought this was even slightly related to rib meat?

From the post:

>McDonald's fans were left shocked after discovering what cut of meat the chain uses for its McRib. The McRib, seasoned boneless pork dipped in tangy BBQ sauce and topped with chopped onions and pickles, makes sporadic and limited time returns to the fast food chain's menu. It has built up a cult following over the years, and its current return, which began on November 29, was anticipated by many.
However, while the meaty treat is made of pork it is not actually a rib cut but actually pork shoulder, a fact that has outraged some of its fans. 'It's spam!' one unamused consumer wrote on Reddit after discovering the type of meat used.

shit-tier "food" place sells shit-tier "food", and the low-iq patrons are shocked.

sounds about right.

Yep, that is about it. I don't know why people think they are getting "good food" at a place like that. Now, in other countries it is actually "normal" (maybe not good) but at least, normal food. In the USA it is just goyslop garbage.

Basically, mcrib is a barbecue sauce covering a meat substance.

Or at least purported meat substance.

Anyone with room temp IQ should know McRib isn't a rib. Nothing wrong with pork shoulder.

Pork shoulder is good! I'm shocked any whole meat product is involved.

Well, that is probably the 3rd's cut and is mostly fat and each "sandwich" probably has the meat from about 3k pigs in it. So... Still goyslop /s/wd40food

Oh for sure. Those are crap biproduct 100%

But pork shoulder itself is a great cut.

I have one in the deep freeze right now that I am deciding if I should smoke it or just cook it in the oven. Ill probably do it after the new year. Before the BBQ people complain, it comes frozen from the butcher, I know, I know, I know...
