I knew it was fake last spring/early summer when I got a false positive from a test that was required before a minor surgery. Once I found out I needed surgery and it was scheduled for 5 weeks away, my GF and me stopped by the store on the way home and picked up food for 2 months so I wouldn’t miss my surgery from a positive test then didn’t go out at all. 5 days before the surgery I took a test and it came back as positive, WRONG!! nobody including the contact tracer would allow me to take a new test to prove I didn’t have it. The contact tracer told me it was against the rules and was being entered into a “database”(lies) and wouldn’t be allowed to take another on unless hospitalized or died. Even if I needed one for surgery. IT’s JUST A RULE, can you provide my with a copy of the rule, NO. I called two urgent cares and explained my story and that I’d miss surgery if I didn’t get a new one. The girls were really nice and checked with their supervisors and got back on the phone and said they were really sorry but their supervisor said it was “against the rules” to retest. I politely asked if they knew or had a copy of the “rule” and the didn’t. I then called two different urgent cares(separate labs) and told them I’d been “exposed” by my brother 5 days before from going on car trip with him and I needed a test for surgery. They told me I could come in immediately, I did and within 1 1/2 to two hours of getting a positive test I had two negative tests(4 and 7 days later for the results). The surgery coordinator was amazing and kept a spot open for me if my other tests came back negative. Unfortunately the doctor found out and said they wouldn’t see anyone for 4 weeks after a positive test even if they test negative during that 4 weeks. I ended up having to wait 4 weeks from my “positive” test before I could get the surgery. It amazes me there’s a “rule” but nobody can provide it, I get threatened with being put in a “database”(lies), what if covid was real and I actually got sick and needed a test later on? And I know people have to be going back to the testing centers for every sniffles or cough, have to test positive and then run back the next time. Otherwise who are these idiots that are still getting tested? Stop going to get tested morons or they’ll close shit back down.
