Nails it? Ben's take on this is brain dead. Let's break down his theory and argument. He says:
- Pharma companies are driven by profits
- Double blind studies are expensive
- Ivermectin is out of patent
- No one is paying for a double blind study for Ivermectin because it is off patent and the profit margins are small.
- With no double blind studies Ivermectin dies in the dark
This is such complete bullshit that it makes me assume Ben Carson is running cover for the evil acts of others.
Yes, Ivermectin is off patent and the profit margins are nominal. And yes double blind studies are expensive... but not THAT expensive. They are 'millions and millions' expensive not 'billions and billions' expensive.
Now just imagine for a second that you own a Generic Brand drug manufacturing plant that makes Ivermectin. Even with the small profit margins for generic drugs just imagine how much Ivermectin you would sell if you could prove it treats Covid? Manufacturing tooling and set up takes time and money... yeah other companies could move in to the space but you are already all set up to produce Ivermectin. You would have 18-24 months of runway before competition could scale up manufacturing. Hell, you could even double the price because of 'high demand and limited production.'
The plain and simple fact is that spending 'millions and millions' on a Ivermectin double blind study would be a no brainer for anyone who is currently producing Ivermectin. The fact that none of them have done this proves that they have been paid off with 'billions and billions' from Phizer/Moderna
