Is it possible that something like collapse of USSR will happen, when 15 counties in one day became poor shitholes and all the wealthy fuckers just disappeared with state's money. There wasn't any warfare, there was nothing to fight for. Maybe that is the future of western world.

They don't have any options. They can't go back and admit anything. It will be outrage and heads will roll if they do. They are going till the end all or nothing style. I will be very surprised if these protests will have any influence on their plan. Seems that it all will be outlawed as domestic terrorism and biological hazard, probably because of protests virus are becoming more spread out and deadly, so enough of this civil unrest.
