I don't ridicule the product, I ridicule the very scripted ads they put in the middle of their content so people buy into that term of ridicule and ignore the very practical 'have the ability to function without power for X number of days' and 'be prepared to last X number of days without being able to leave your house or buy groceries' sentiment. Plus then they have a run on MREs thinking they are the best thing ever and a case pushes up to $200 by the time I get around to restocking.
Agree. To be prepared is a mindset, and an evolution.
There’s a ton of stuff that has a long shelf life that you can get at a larger grocery store. The “survival food” is the exact same but triple the price.
Triple price today is better than empty shelves and civil unrest tomorrow, especially with how inflation is tracking. Plus it comes packaged for long term storage.
