Turns out, if you pull on the cable too hard, especially when the truck isn't plugged in, you can break the locking mechanism, which is exactly what happened.

It's so fragile that pulling a handle too hard can break your ability to charge the vehicle.

Remember, EVs are especially designed to keep us walking distance from home. It's a feature.

I'm trying to imagine an ICE vehicle ever being so obviously a design disaster and drawing a blank. If you tear a fuel door off with a heckin' crowbar the car will still work, but apparently electric vehicles are all designed by retards.

A technician who'd dealt with this problem in the past told us it was a 22-hour job that required replacing the entire front wiring harness, which involved dropping the front motors out of the truck.

Oops. You tried turning the gas cap the wrong way. You'll need to replace the transmission.

It's a baffling stupid design. User accessible electrical should use snap in place connectors so if someone tries to He-Man it out, at worst you snapped a 50¢ plastic tab.

What fucking idiot would buy one of these. I'll ask next time I see one. There is so much coping to justify a 48 hour nightmare of not having a vehicle. Holy fuck, last time I ran out of gas, I coasted into a gas station and was back on the road in 5 minutes. This retard paid 100k and can't even leave the state. All these tards deserve the stupid shit they get, internet has taken any excuse.

I love to gamble on actually being able to make it to my destination. I don't like knowing how long the drive will take. It's exciting sitting in a vehicle not knowing when it will spontaneously catch on fire. I also thrive on virtue signaling how much I overpaid on an EV. Yep.

This was a problem, because the parking brake is electronic and releasing it for the tow truck can only be done through the infotainment screen

That's stupid.

With no power, we couldn't open the charge port door.

That's really stupid.

At 1% unlock and open all doors. Nigger programmer didn't think it through.

I wonder how much long term damage (life span reduction) he has done to the main battery.

Running an EV dead flat could end up costing you $5k easily in terms of reduced battery life.

Anyone with enough money to overpay for such a toy can certainly afford to dump more money into it. The insurance is very costly for these toys too.

I dumb I guess but wouldn't it make sense when power drops to 2% to open all of the electronic doors for charging and function?

The battery gets too low and suddenly all the doors and hatches spring open? Sounds hilarious. They should do that.

Everyone smart enough to get an EV deserves one.
