Turns out, if you pull on the cable too hard, especially when the truck isn't plugged in, you can break the locking mechanism, which is exactly what happened.
It's so fragile that pulling a handle too hard can break your ability to charge the vehicle.
Remember, EVs are especially designed to keep us walking distance from home. It's a feature.
