That's why you'll use a tuner. Your phone can do this. It's an app away. It'll tell ya when you get to the correct E. You can even hum at your phone and find the pitch you're humming at.

Yeah. Tuners are cheap these days. You'll soon buy a tuner that's dedicated. For now, your phone will do just fine. They used to be really expensive.
