Now it's time to test all the buttons and basic functions.

Next, you'll probably want to pop the pot knobs off the guitar and carefully insert a slotted screwdriver into the slot that is in the metal that the knobs attach to. It's an Epiphone. They're probably looser than they should be. It's pretty much a given on an Epiphone. Use some care to not slip and scratch the surface of the guitar top.

Also, once you have it in tune - check to ensure it's playing the same tone when you fret at the 12th fret.

E string is an E at the 12th fret. So are the rest. Open (no fret) it is E A D G B E. 12th fret is exactly the same. EADGBE, but one octave higher. This will tell you if the intonation is "in." It should be, but that'll tell me if the neck is fine and the guitar set up well enough to play. It should be fine, but double check it.

I tried to do what you described and I think it is. I'm 100% sure I'm doing it right but it looks right on the app I'll get the intructions for the tuner out

Excellent.

Now, I want you to play an open E, play it on the 1st fret, 2nd fret, etc... Go all the way to the highest fret.

Do that for all six strings.

You're listening to hear if it buzzes.

To fret, place your finger behind (not on top of) the fret - but as close to the fret as you can get it. It shouldn't buzz, but it's best to check.

Low E right? I get a little bit of buzz on some of the frets. What does that mean?
