You should learn what that is and why it works the way it does.
Yes I should, I’ve seen a few videos on it already, but the better question is how many times has a drummer interrupted you while you were trying to do it?
I use a tuner and it's a direct feed, so you can make all the noise you want. It won't phase me any. It won't change my tuning - even a little bit. I haven't not used a tuner (as a general rule) since back when they were $200 devices for a decent pedal operated inline tuner that was rugged enough for the stage and session work.
If I'm just fucking off (don't tell anyone I said this), then I'll probably just tune the guitar to itself and call it good. Shh! You're gonna pretend I never said that and learn how to do it - but always use a tuner.
