Wow that's a lot of money lol It looks like it's worth it though
Meh... I have a few bucks, so money isn't actually an issue for me.
I'm fairly easy to dox, if you're curious. It's also a very, very long story.
In my youth, I studied classical guitar (and a variety of other instruments) formally. I'd later use the GI Bill to attend school. I'd then go back for a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics. During those years, I played for many bands.
I started my business before I'd even done my defense. I was still pretty poor as the money needed to go back into growing the business. So, I kept playing.
Eventually, I wouldn't need the money - but I kept playing. I loved the work. I mostly played in higher end cover bands - but played in many bands.
In 2007, I sold my business and retired. I'd still play for a few local friends, and even sometimes go out of the area to play with old friends - though that was seldom. In 2018, I'd do something retarded. I'd agree to form a band around a group of people much younger than myself.
So, there's a short story for you. I pretty much suck at being retired.
