Hmm... Each task you will do is something that must be done, if I'm understanding you correctly. Well then, each task that you do is less weight you have to carry. It's a job that's complete. It's something you no longer need to do, at least today. Thus, each completed task is a little burden that will be taken away from your shoulders - and, at the end of the day, your required effort will be less. You'll have a sense of accomplishment for jobs well done and less to worry about. Dunno if that'll help, but it's one way to look at it.
