I'd say it was well written considering the circumstances. EH seems like a smart girl, and more importantly a hard working one. I've always said I'd rather have 10 hard working idiots than 100 lazy smart people. I'd bet she'll be a good musician when she grows up.

Yeah, I doubled up on my Vicodin this morning, so I'm not really in a lot of pain. Now that the common cold virus has mostly run its course, I am not nearly as sore.

I'm gonna be fine, but I'm going to feel like ass for a while. Meh... I find out on Monday for certain, or at least with greater confidence, if it's really mono. Because of my age, they didn't expect me to have mono. I should have been immune to mono, having already caught it, many years ago.

How the fuck I made it this long without mono is beyond me. No clue... None...

Today's show is short and I'm not doing any heavy lifting or anything like that. I won't even need to carry my guitars to the stage. I may not even need to set them up. On top of that, there's multiple chairs on the stage. I can, and will, sit down - if I feel like I need to.

As for EH, she's rapidly improving. Once you get over the threshold where your fingers start doing what you tell them to do, things move along pretty rapidly.

This is her from a couple of weeks back, you might enjoy it:

I wasn't involved in any of that, not even editing or recording. She was even able to teach it to herself. She's improving rapidly.

I'm out in about 2 hours, maybe sooner.

I will say that this mono shit has me constantly exhausted. I'm tired as all fuck.

Well that is kind of what mono does it makes you tired, its really well known for doing that. Hope the show goes well. I'm sitting here strumming away watching the confirmation hearing thing. Its a good chance to get in some much needed practice during the silences. I'm practicing chords and even flirting with power chords this whole thing is slow going but I'll get there. Still have that first pick btw, the pick gods be damned they shall not take this one from me.

Take it easy if you work too hard its only going to make it worse.

Yeah, it makes you tired, your throat hurt, gives you a rash, and causes your spleen to swell...

I'm just tired and my throat hurts. I'm guessing my spleen is swollen, but I don't actually see any swelling anywhere - it's just that my whole body hurts.

I also have no rash. None... I've looked in the mirror, more than once. No rash. Not even the hint of a rash. The only thing that makes me itch is the opiates.

Because of my history, I asked for low-grade opiates and agreed on Vicodin 10mg. I get 5/day and I'm supposed to take one every six hours - but I get an extra one each day for "breakthrough pain."

I can't spend today in bed. I have obligations. The show must go on. I don't get to take today off. I'm a professional. I don't miss shows. Nobody really dies from mono, unless their spleen explodes and they don't get it taken care of in a timely fashion. Spleens don't actually usually even rupture. So, it's a pretty low probability event.
