Very informative. Playing guitar is on my list of things I want to do someday.

It's never too late to start. ;-)

Someday. Someday.

That's what many people tell themselves. Someday never seems to come.

If you ever decide you're ready to take the plunge, I'll be more than happy to answer any questions. I'm straight up exhausted tonight. We had a pretty good show.

My preferred guitar is a Gibson Les Paul. It's a very heavy guitar and I use it more than I use any other guitar on stage. At home, I have a small studio and I don't have to actually stand and wear the guitar. On stage, I'm not formal enough (nor playing for a formal enough audience) to do much sitting. They're only 12 pounds, but the weight is around your neck and shoulders. I actually like the weight, but when you're a very active performer it is exhausting.

I don't run and jump as much as I used to. I no longer climb up on the stacks. I'm pretty sure I'd break a hip if I tried a power slide at my age. But, I'm still pretty active.

Side note: It's so much nicer these days. The LED lighting is absolutely awesome. The temperature difference is huge. The old incandescent lights put out a lot of heat. You'd pretty much melt up there. LEDs make me happy.

I don't really have to mention it on the other site, but I'll add it here.

This is my site. I will install a cookie on your computer but it's rather harmless. I need it for functionality and, frankly, I'm not sure how to even get rid of it.

I will see your IP address in my logs. I can't narrow them down to one person and I probably won't bother even looking in the logs, but I could theoretically see it. I don't much give a shit.

Any personal information you give me won't be shared with anyone else - unless the dirty rotten lawman makes me. Don't put me in that position and it should not be a problem. No, I won't be fighting a warrant. No, I will not be paying for a legal battle. If they come and ask for my logs, I'm giving them to them.

Don't do anything to put me in that position and it won't be an issue.

No, that's distinctly not a free-speech site. I have a hosting company and they have standards. We don't actually meet their standards, so I won't be publishing comments that are not about music. No, you can't say gas the kikes and nigger. Frankly, that's largely because I'm pretty lazy. I'd have to move my site and I don't want to do that. I do keep backups! I figure they're bound to kick me out eventually.

Other than that, have fun. I hope y'all enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them. I really write them for the other site, but figure this site may have a few folks who are interested in guitar. So, I post 'em here.

Do, however, feel free to comment on the site. Just please keep it to a dull roar and don't get me kicked out. The comments are moderated, but I've only had two comments (so far) that weren't acceptable for publication. Both were sent in jest and I did chuckle, but I cna't publish them. They'll kick me out!

I think we all understand. It takes a special type of stupid to pick up the mantle of free speech and be willing to look at all the things people who don’t like that speech are willing to do and still stand. I just happen to be that special kind of stupid.
